After having failed miserably at Aikido, adult filmography, and going in to business with Rodney, it looks like Mickey Pearce has decided to take up DJing in Benidorm!
Only Fools & Horses star Patrick Murray (who played the hapless Pearce) has emerged from a well-earned break from the spotlight, deciding to kick his next adventure off as a party DJ. He now entertains fans as a real life version of Mickey Pearce, complete with trademark trilby hat, suit, and tie.
Murray recently announced on Facebook: “Hi folks, my new adventure in sunny Benidorm has begun, but to be totally honest I should really change the word “sunny” for overcast and windy.”
He added: “I also had the pleasure of meeting some of the locals and it seems this town has its fair share of Del Boys and Rodneys, even the odd Trigger bless him.”
Patrick Murray is being booked by many of the British-themed nightclubs and pubs in the Benidorm area, taking part in meet and greets and also DJing with his favourite hits from the 70s-90s.
He recently played a St Patrick’s Day party night at The Queen Vic at Celle Gerona, and was also guest of honour at The Nags Head – the same pub name frequented by Mickey Pearce, Del Boy, Rodney and co. in Only Fools and Horses.
He is also going to host The Jolly Boys Show – named after the 1989 episode The Jolly Boys’ Outing – at Sinatra’s Premium Bar this week.
… Maybe he could play some of these songs.
