One of Del Boy’s most memorable personality traits was his hilarious attempts at sounding more cultured than he truly was.
This, of course, was most famously represented in his wide array of French phrases (and occasional attempts at other languages as well). We all know how French worked out for Del – who else could get Bonjour and Au Revior confused so easily? – but his attempts did bring some great laughs to Only Fools & Horses.
