The classic cast from everyone’s favourite BBC sitcom, Only Fools & Horses, could be set to return to the TV screen! Pottage bonne femme!
David Jason, most famous for playing the legendary Del Boy, as well as Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney) are reported to be in talks for creating a new documentary based on Britain’s most-loved TV
show of all time.
The show recently celebrated 35 years since its first broadcast, and the Trotter brothers now appear set to star in a documentary that will commemorate the show’s incredible success since its first broadcast in 1981.
A secret source “in-the-know” has revealed that: “David and Nicholas are really keen to do the documentary and it’s all coming together now.
“The show is is a cult sitcom and they have fans all around the world.
Although it hasn’t run for thirteen years, fans are still hopeful they will do another Christmas special”.
Certainly if social media is anything to go by, there is always a regular stream of fans wondering if there ever will be another Christmas special. While the chances of a proper special sitcom episode are low, a documentary that delves deep into the heart of the show would most likely be a serious hit with fans!
The documentary is yet to be purchased for broadcast by a channel, but it is believed that Gold, who broadcast re-runs of the show on a daily basis, are interested.
Details on the airing of this documentary are scant at present, but there is rumour that TV channel Gold (who play regular repeats of the show) could be interested in screening it.
More details will be provided as they come to light! Make sure you check back regularly with British Legends – and don’t forget to share this article with your fellow fans.
